Digital Accessibility in Action
2024-12-23
Society is increasingly relying on technology and digital services, such as using mobile apps for reservations, QR codes for ordering, electronic menus, and online shopping. To create an accessible society, we must not only focus on the physical facilities of buildings but also on the concept of digital accessibility. Digital accessibility refers to design and develop digital experiences that anyone can easily use, regardless of their physical abilities or mobility, including people with disabilities and elderly. However, some individuals with disabilities feel that digital accessibility efforts in Hong Kong could be enhanced, as many tested online shopping platform apps do not meet accessibility design standards. So, how can we achieve inclusion and make the digital world inclusive?
Since its premiere on March 5, 1978, Hong Kong Connection has remained steadfast to its founding mission: to speak truth with conviction and investigate matters vital to our community.
For over four decades, our team has served as society's mirror - fearlessly examining pressing issues across politics, housing, healthcare, social welfare, education, environment and other domains of public concern.
As Hong Kong's longest-running current affairs documentary program, we remain committed to uncovering truths, facilitating informed debate, and providing citizens with comprehensive analyses.
