School discipline / Oxfam Trailwalker 2024

2024-05-29
On Wednesday’s Backchat, we're talking about cases of students bullying teachers.

An online video has surfaced online showing students purportedly disrupting a lesson by standing on chairs, kicking desks and mocking their teacher. The school -- which said the event took place in October last year -- was ordered to submit a report to the Education Bureau.

Instances of teachers being bullied by their students aren't unheard of, albeit rather isolated in this part of the world. How well trained are teachers in dealing with class discipline? We'll find out.

After 9:45, we learn more from the organisers of the 40th Oxfam Trailwalker charity event.
