On Friday's Backchat: sports facilities; and new hiking trail.
A consultancy report for the Home Affairs Bureau says Hong Kong will be facing a shortage of sports facilities in the future.
Based on an estimation of the population for 2026 – it says the territory will be short of a number of facilities including 49 indoor multipurpose sports centers, three football and rugby pitches, four track and field stadiums, and three outdoor tennis courts to host competitions and training sessions.
After our success at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and the current focus on the National Games, how should we further promote sport?
After 9:15am, we’re looking at the new Kat O Heritage Trail, in order to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark.
