Movie director and radio host Crystal Kwok talks about her documentary  Blurring the Color Line: Chinese in the Segregated South, [https://www.blurringthecolorline.com/synopsis] , Crystal tells the history of her grandmother's family, who were grocery store owners in a black neighbourhood in Augusta Georgia. Her grandmother, Pearl, who only died recently moved to Augusta with her family in 1927. It was a time of segregated schools, water fountains... so where did the Chinese fit in? Many of the issues still resonate today.
