British author Paul French gives a lovely reading of John Le Carre's description in The Honourable Schoolboy of the Foreign Correspondents' Club on a Saturday as a typhoon approaches - [first three mins]; HK history researcher and author Patricia O'Sullivan and I chat about the criminal women in her new book (more of that in the new year); and Richard Wesley, the outgoing director of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum reflects on his 10 years at the helm of the museum on Pier 8, history and education and how he'd like to see a collection of old vessels in the harbour as part of the museum collection.
