On Thursday's Backchat: air quality; and merging schools.
The Institute for the Environment at the University of Science and Technology has released a new mobile app that can help users analyse their personal air pollution exposure from outdoor and indoor locations, and what are described as different micro-environments.
Called PRAISE-HK-EXP, the latest technology builds on an earlier version released three years ago, and aims to provide users with personalised real-time air quality information.
In June this year the government unveiled its Clean Air Plan for Hong Kong 2035, setting a new target to reach the same standards of air quality as major international cities such as Tokyo and Paris in 14 years' time.
From 9:15am, we’re talking about the drop in student numbers after the government decided to merge two schools starting next September.
