On Tuesday's Backchat, Covid-19 updates; and wild boar.
The World Health Organization has listed the Covid-19 Mu variant as one of five “variants of interest”, with Hong Kong authorities saying that the territory has recorded three cases so far.
In a weekly report on Covid-19, the WHO said the Mu variant had a number of mutations, suggesting that it could be more resistant to vaccines. But it stressed that further research was still needed.
What do we know about the Mu variant? How concerned should we be? Meanwhile, how are we doing with the vaccination rate?
After 9:15am, we’re discussing the safety of our wild boars, after an animal was found to be infected with African swine fever.
