On Wednesday's Backchat, gaming and children; and Afghanistan.
Chinese regulators on Monday cut the amount of time children can spend on online games, in response to growing concern over gaming addiction.
Players under 18 will only be able to play games for one hour a day, 8pm to 9pm, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
Meanwhile, researchers in Hong Kong said the pandemic has brought an increase in the number of schoolchildren developing short-sightedness, with many spending too much time in front of a screen and not enough doing outdoor activities.
Is the new law a good idea? Would it work in HK? How much time should children spend gaming? What's the mental and physical toll? Why can't parents make the rules?
After 9.15am, we’re discussing Afghanistan. As the final US troops depart, where are we now? What will China do?
