HandsOn HK

2020-12-09
HandsOn HK is an organisation with the mission of empowering everyone in Hong Kong to volunteer. ‘Care Delivered’ is a programme drawn up by HandsOn HK to supply care packages to the most vulnerable groups in Hong Kong who have been severely impacted by COVID-19. Collaborating with 7 charities in food assistance and other volunteers, HandsOn HK will provide the needy with one-year meal packages. In view of the challenge in food delivery, HandsOn HK will mobilise volunteers in the dispatch of the relief packages. This allows under-resourced charities to solicit manpower and resources from HandsOn HK.

HandsOn HK believes that participation in local relief efforts during this unprecedented crisis will empower volunteers to help the community.

This year HandsOn Hong Kong runs a project called “Care Delivered” with another charity Feeding Hong Kong. Radio 3’s Angie Man talks to both project organisers and finds out how this joining force is helping the most vulnerable local groups in Hong Kong hit by COVID-19.

No. of Beneficiaries: 2,140 units (335 households, 5 under-resourced charities, 1,800 HK volunteers)
