Pregnant woman saved from aortic dissection / Future Science Prize

2025-08-19

On Tuesday's Backchat, we talked to some of the doctors who were part of a multidisciplinary team of experts who successfully saved a pregnant woman with a rare heart condition. We heard about how they were able to quickly come up with a plan to save the woman and the twins she was carrying, despite facing immense pressure.

After the break, we talked to two scientists who were awarded the Future Science Prize in Physical Science and Life Science. We learnt about their research into palaeontology and topological electronic materials.
