On Monday's Backchat, more on Policy Address.
After talking with the Chief Executive Carrie Lam on Friday, we’ve more reaction to this year’s policy address, the last of her current five-year term.
Entitled Building a Bright Future together, the blueprint envisages a massive new Northern Metropolis in the border area next to Shenzhen, incorporating existing towns like Sheung Shui and Fanling, along with six development areas. It would provide more than 900,000 apartments and be home to 2.5 million people. Development of the IT industry would be a major theme.
There were also plans for reorganization government bureaus, and further strengthening national security.
