Covid-19 and intercity Maglev

2021-03-26
On Friday’s Backchat, Covid-19 and intercity Maglev.

A panel of experts said on Wednesday that the death of a man who had received a Sinovac jab was probably not linked to the vaccine, but caused by the cardiovascular disease he'd suffered from.

He's the 10th local person to die after inoculation. Nine of the cases involved Sinovac and one involved BioNTech.

Vaccination of BioNTech shots is suspended as the drug manufacturer conducts an investigation into packaging defects among a batch used in Hong Kong, but there is no suggestion that the shots themselves pose any safety risk.

Will this deter people from getting Covid-jabs? How about the option of mixed jabs? Are there enough guidelines for the public and the doctors?

From 9:15am-9:30am, we’ll be discussing the proposed intercity high-speed maglev train to connect mainland cities and Hong Kong.

8:30am-9:15am
8:30am-9am Dr Henry Yeung, Former President of Hong Kong Doctors' Union
8:30am-9:15amDr Alvin Chan, paediatrician and co-chairman of advisory committee of communicable diseases, Hong Kong Medical Association.
