Sino-Japanese relations and the September 18 incident / Mid-Autumn Festival

2024-09-17
On Tuesday's Backchat, we're talking about Sino-Japanese relations, ahead of the 93rd anniversary on Wednesday of the incident which led to China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

The bombing by Japanese forces of a section of railway near the city of Shenyang in 1931 was blamed on China and used as a pretext by Japan to invade Manchuria, in what some historians consider as the beginning of World War II in east Asia.

Several cities around the Mainland will hold events to commemorate this turning point in history.

After 9:30, we learn more about the go-to places during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
