Italian restaurants can be found everywhere in Hong Kong. Classic Italian dishes like pasta and pizza are very popular. In fact, there is so much more to explore when it comes to Italian cuisine. As a native Italian, Massimo concludes the characteristics of Italian cuisine with 3 S’s: Simple, Seasonal and Soul. The best dishes can be made by using simple and seasonal ingredients and retaining their authenticity. Massimo immigrated to Hong Kong more than 30 years ago. He rooted here after meeting his wife Elisa, and he tried hard learning Cantonese in order to integrate into the life in Hong Kong. However, the taste of his hometown still lingered in his mind, and he wanted to promote it. He opened a restaurant with his wife 20 years ago specialising in fresh ingredients and healthy dishes, in the hope of promoting the food culture of Italy to Hong Kong people.

Salt-crusted whole seabass with thyme
