Dangers of microplastics / School bullying survey
2024-09-12
On Thursday's Backchat, we're talking about the impact microplastics on our lives.
A study by Greenpeace found that traces of microplastics were showing up in animal excrement, prompting environmentalists to sound the alarm bell on the contamination risks it poses to the food chain.
The green group also called upon both public and private stakeholders to cut down on plastic production, stressing that society could not solely rely on recycling to solve the problem.
How concerned should we be about microplastics? What can be done about it?
After 9:45, we find out more about a survey on bullying in primary schools.
9:05am-9:45am: Dangers of microplastics
9:05am-9:45am: Dana Winograd, Co-Founder of Plastic Free Seas
9:05am-9:30am: Leanne Tam, Campaigner at Greenpeace
9:30am-9:45am: William Yu, Chief Executive Officer of the World Green Organisation
