On Friday's Backchat, promoting Hong Kong; Paralympic.
The government is planning to roll out an overseas campaign later this year to promote the city as the “best place in Asia to live, work and invest in.”
It came after authorities paid US$5.7million, approximately HK$44.3 million, to global PR company Consulum last June on its “Relaunch Hong Kong” initiative.
The company – which controversially did publicity work for Saudi Arabia – conducted market research that found us to be a “cosmopolitan, diverse, dynamic and connected” city.
How should we promote the image of Hong Kong overseas? How do we maintain ourselves as ‘Asia’s world city’? What are our unique selling points for visitors and investors?
After 9.15am, we’re discussing the Paralympics, set to start on August 24. Can we expect another successful Games?
