On Thursday's Backchat, we'll be looking at the scrapping of the Covid isolation requirement from next Monday, as Hong Kong follows mainland China in treating Covid-19 as just another upper res-piratory tract disease.

That means there’ll no longer be any need to report your Covid infection online, and asymptomatic cases will even be allowed to go to work.

But infected children are still being told not to go to school, even if they don’t have any symptoms, and the mandatory mask mandate remains in place–at least for now.
