On today’s programme, we’re talking about the transmission cable bridge fire in Yuen Long, which caused a massive power outage in New Territories West on Tuesday night.
Some 160,000 households from Yuen Long, to Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai were left without electricity, while hospital and train services were disrupted. More than a dozen schools were also forced to suspend classes yesterday as a result.
CLP Power said electricity supplies were restored yesterday, but it stressed that the power supply may be unstable.
Were you affected? How did such a large scale outage happen? Could it happen again?
After 9.15am, we’ll speak to the Sports Commissioner about the delay in the opening of the Kai Tai Sports Park
