On Thursday's Backchat, the future of electric vehicles.
The Financial Secretary has pledged to further promote the replacement of conventional private cars by electric vehicles.The Environment Bureau will announce later in this month Hong Kong's first roadmap on the popularisation of electric vehicles, with key measures including the ceasing of the new registration of fuel-propelled private vehicles in 2035.
Is that a reasonable target? What are the pros and cons of no new petrol cars?  Do we have enough facilities to charge EVs? What else do we need to make the switch?
