On Thursday's Backchat, June 4th.

For the first time in more than 30 years , there'll be no annual candlelight vigil at Victoria Park this year because of the Covid-19 situation.

As the social-distancing regulation is still effective, any gathering with more than eight people will be fined or may be prosecuted. Is this the right decision? How should protests elsewhere be treated? What about calls to end one-party rule? How do you respond to localists who say that the events of 1989 are nothing to do with Hong Kong?

8:30-9:30 Michael Mo, Tuen Mun District Councillor

8:30-9:30 Richard Tsoi, Secretary, Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China

9:00-9:30 Professor Linda Li Che-lan, Professor of Political Science, Department of Public Policy, City University of Hong Kong.
