Operation Santa Claus is an annual charity drive organised by RTHK Radio 3 and the South China Morning Post. The campaign seeks to raise money and awareness for Hong Kong charities, especially smaller and less well-funded organisations. Corporations and individual donors put on a wide range of fund-raising activities while the campaign is on. They not only highlight the community's sense of sharing and giving, but also bring a bit of fun to the city at Christmas time.

There are 18 beneficiaries this year, coming under five categories: Family; medical issues; the elderly; children & young people; and mental and physical disabilities. Look for more information and radio features on the recipients on this site.
