On Thursday's Backchat, we discussed the setting up of the International Organisation for Mediation in Hong Kong. Foreign Minister Wang Yi and a number of senior international representatives will be attending a signing ceremony of the convention on establishing the mediation body.

Justice Secretary Paul Lam said the move demonstrates the confidence the country and the international community have in using mediation as a means to settle disputes. 

After that, we found out more about the Department of Health's "Quit in June" campaign to discourage people from smoking. We learned about the city's latest anti-smoking drive, and whether there's room to further safeguard public health.

After the break, we looked at the new Terminal 2 at Hong Kong International Airport, which is expected to begin initial operations in September.
