On Friday's Backchat, would we all be better off without meat? A new report suggests we should be having ten portions of fruit or vegetables a day, but what about sticking solely to plants? There are an estimated 200,000 vegetarians in Hong Kong, and an increasing number of vegetarian restaurants. What are the advantages of quitting meat for your health and/or for the environment? If animals are raised and slaughtered humanely, is there any ethical problem?
