Olympia Graeco Egyptian Coffee

2018-10-27
On this weekend's Hong Kong Heritage, Katie Ho talks to me about the family business - Olympia Graeco Egyptian Coffee - a Hong Kong institution since 1927, and the original roasters of the Peninsula. It was founded by an Egyptian from Greece, who I'd like to find out more about. Here are Edwin and Katie Ho, the son and daughter of the late "Old Master Ho", on the last day of Olympia Graeco Egyptian Coffee at its current premises in Old Bailey Street. They're moving to PMQ. As of November you can find them in a pop-up shop, S503, Block A. And that bag was the last half pound of coffee at Old Bailey Street, which Edwin sieved and shook to blend and then ground - so I could get all the radio audio. And then he refused to take any money.
